VoIP Foro - Softphone- IP Telephones

There are the different software programs to talk:

- Free provider: SIP Proxy or gatekeepers can be configured and the VoIP provider can be chosen.

- Preconfigured Clients: Programs that allow to speak with other users who have the same program (For example SKYPE).

- Messenger-like programs with Voice: Chat programs but you can also speak nowadays.

1. FREE PROVIDER

EYEBEAM (X-TEN)	CounterPath Solutions, Inc.	Available in Windows, Mac and Pocket PC. SIP only. Codecs G.711, iLBC, Speex, GSM, G.723.1, G.726, G.729a. Great design. Not free.
SIPSS	Nero	Windows Only. Two versions. Free with less functionalities and not free.
ADORE SOFTPHONE	Adore Softphone	Windows and pocket-pc. G729 support also. Not free.
KPHONE	Wirlab	Linux only. Not very god design but it works always. Free (of course)

GIZMO	Gizmo	The same idea of Skype. It works quite well.
DINGOTEL	Dingotel	The same with fewer users and in this type of programs that is the clue.

ICQ Phone	ICQ	The same ICQ program with voice . Availbale for Windows, Mac and Symbian.
Messenger	Microsoft	Well known program. It comes with your windows. (Bill doing as always)
Netmeeting	Microsoft	Another Bill Gates idea. This was better. Videoconference with our webcam. Interesting.
Google Talk	Google	The google thing. Something from Google is always interesting.
